Dr Jeremy Hudson
Clinical Director

Moving to Townsville in 2006, Dr Hudson works full time in Skin Cancer Medicine and Surgery and has extensive qualifications in the field, performing regular skin checks and a wide range of treatments including non-surgical therapies, basic excisions and complex flap and graft surgery.
Jeremy strongly believes that since Townsville has one of the highest rates of skin cancer in the world, our patients deserve access to the best and latest advancements in skin cancer medicine.
Dr Hudson also holds the position of Senior Lecturer at James Cook University, where he writes and teaches courses in skin cancer medicine, dermoscopy (skin cancer imaging), and advanced graft and flap surgery. He is currently developing a series of online written and video resources for skin cancer surgical training.
Dr Hudson is an active member of several other research and training organizations including the Dermatology Special Interests Group (RACGP), the Skin Cancer College of Australasia, and has assisted in research projects on surgical outcomes, histological sampling and tissue samples for cell line studies.
Jeremy is a strong advocate of education for both patients and doctors, and has worked extensively in both paid and volunteer positions to deliver high quality care and raise local training standards.

Dr Paul Coxon

Paul grew up in Townsville and was part of the second ever cohort at the school of medicine in 2001. After time in the hospital system in Cairns, Gold Coast, Mt Isa and Townsville he began general practice training in 2011. Throughout his 10 years in General Practice he became increasingly interested and busy with skin cancer and melanoma management so undertook further training and qualifications in skin cancer. It has become a field he is particularly passionate about and now works full time in the field of skin cancer and melanoma medicine and surgery. This includes diagnostics and screening with the use of dermoscopy and dermal imaging as well as management including both non-operative medical therapies as well as surgery including complex flaps and grafts. Patient education also forms an important part of our management as if you understand and are confident in our management then outcomes are better. He has been recognized by the college of General Practitioners has having extended skills in dermatology and is interested in managing general skin conditions as well as skin cancers.
As a North Queensland local he understands our unique lifestyle, climate and geography. With skin cancer rates the highest in the world, we are at the forefront of management. He’s passionate about staying abreast of gold standard practice and providing our patients with the latest advancements in therapy. This includes undertaking research to further contribute to the field and research at NQSC has made its way to publications. He is a senior lecturer at James Cook University and enjoys passing on his knowledge and experience to medical students and junior doctors.
Outside of medicine he enjoys the North Queensland lifestyle (though am always sun smart). He has a young family with three children that keeps him busy. An avid cyclist, you may see him on the road early in the morning in lycra (please don’t hit me). He enjoys following most sports in particular our very own North Queensland Cowboys, as well as the Carlton Blues and Queensland Reds. He enjoys travel (though children have put the brakes on that a tad), good food and COFFEE!!
Dr Phoebe Chisnall
FRACGP, MBBS, Adv Cert Skin Cancer Medicine & Surgery, Adv Clin Cert Dermoscopy (hons), Accredited Skin Cancer Doctor (SCCA), Professional Certificate of General Dermatology (Healthcert)
Phoebe grew up on a dairy farm on the Atherton Tablelands and moved to Townsville to complete her basic medical training at JCU. After graduation, she worked in various regional and rural towns across North Queensland and obtained her GP fellowship through the RACGP.
She soon developed a keen interest in skin cancer medicine and pursued further clinical experience working at dedicated skin clinics in Cairns and Townsville, as well as completing further study through the Skin Cancer College of Australasia, becoming an accredited skin cancer doctor. She also has a special interest in general dermatological conditions, having completed a postgraduate certificate of general dermatology in 2023.
Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children and enjoying everything the North Queensland lifestyle has to offer.
Dr Nathan Milani
MBBS, FRACGP, Diploma of Child Health, Advanced Clinical Certificate of Dermoscopy, Certificate of Skin Cancer Medicine and Surgery, Accredited Skin Cancer Doctor (SCCA)
Nathan was born and raised in North Queensland, originally hailing from a sugar cane farm in the Burdekin. He attended James Cook University and graduated in 2010. Following several years of training at The Townsville University Hospital in both General Surgery and Plastic Surgery, Nathan completed the Diploma of Children’s Health in 2014 before finishing his Fellowship of General Practice in 2015. With a keen interest and experience in surgery, Nathan has spent time undertaking considerable training in skin cancer medicine and holds Certificates in Skin Cancer Medicine and Surgery, Advanced Certificate in Dermoscopy, Advanced Skin Cancer Surgery training and is an accredited Skin Cancer Doctor. Nathan is accredited and is an active member of the Skin Cancer College of Australasia (SCCA) and continues to further his knowledge in this ever evolving field. As a North Queenslander he embraces the tropical north, outdoor lifestyle, and is passionate about the management of sun damage and skin cancer in North Queensland residents.
Outside of being a Doctor, Nathan is a fanatical game fisherman and enjoys boating, spearfishing, golf and spending time with his wife and beautiful young family.

Dr Holly McComiskie

Born in Townsville and raised in Cairns, Dr Holly McComiskie, is returning to Townsville in 2024. A proud JCU Bachelor of Medicine graduate, Holly discovered a passion for treating skin cancer early in her career and after completing General Practice training, made the decision to practice exclusively in skin cancer medicine. With a commitment to excellence and a passion for continuous learning, Holly holds a Certificate of Dermoscopy and a Certificate of Skin Cancer Medicine from SCCA. She has recently completed her Advanced Certificate Skin Cancer Medicine Surgery course with SCCA.

Meet our lovely Nurse Lyndie!
Lyndie has worked in Nursing in a variety of different fields over the last 30 years.
For the last 16 years she has worked within the Skin Cancer field. She has also completed training in Cosmetic Nursing.
